Tattoo Removal

Developed for use with the Dermapen™ 3 handpiece, Dermapen Tattoff™ delivers precision tattoo removal and targeted skin rejuvenation.

The system offers a non-laser and non-thermolytic technology which removes all tattoo inks, located anywhere on the body. A specialised lactic acid compound is gently infused to the depth of unwanted ink deposits. Subsequent micro-trauma cascades a regenerative response forming a scab that physically draws up the tattoo pigment. Once the scab falls off, so does the unwanted color.

Patient care and safety are improved via a patented grid technique. This patented process reduces the risk of toxicity, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and hypertrophic scars associated with other removal methods. Suitable for the permanent removal of cosmetic, professionally applied and amateur tattoos.

Tattoff with model WHT

Removes all ink colours

Dermapen TattOff™ is ‘colour-blind’ and will REMOVE ALL COLOURS. This includes the most exotic hues and pigment blends, unlike lasers that can only treat a limited range of colours, leaving others virtually untouched.

More Effective Tattoo Removal

The Dermapen TattOff™ removal process is colour-blind. The treatment hand piece, in combination with Dermapen TattOff Activator™ proprietary solution, removes all pigment colours.

Less pain than laser

Dermapen TattOff™ requires fewer sessions and treatments are less painful when compared to laser. Treatments are also less expensive (due to the reduced number of sessions), and won’t damage your natural skin pigment.

Quicker results, less downtime

Dermapen TattOff™ achieves results faster than other methods, as the process requires pigmented skin to be treated only one time.

Unlike laser removal that breaks down pigment ingredients and deposits them in critical organs of the body, Dermapen TattOff™ uses the body’s natural healing process to form a scab that physically draws up the tattoo pigment. Once the scab falls off, so does the unwanted color.

How does Dermapen TattOff™ work?

Dermapen TattOff™ involves a revolutionary non-laser technique using Trans Epidermal Pigment Release. After light abrasion of the skin, a safe Activator proprietary fluid is injected into the tattoo pigment. The fluid breaks down the ink pigment and a scab forms over the treated area. When the scab falls away, the pigment comes with it, leaving clear, pink skin to heal.

What kind of tattoos can be removed?

All types of tattoos can be removed, including whole tattoos, parts of a tattoo, clearing an area for replacement artwork, disguising a previous solid colour cover-up, or reshaping eyebrows or lip colour tattoos. DERMAPEN TATTOFF™ REMOVES ALL COLOURS. It is effective on most skin types, and is quick, safe, affordable and largely pain-free.

How is it different from laser?

The Dermapen TattOff™ treatments remove all colours unlike laser. They require fewer sessions and are less painful than laser treatments. Dermapen TattOff™ treatments are also less expensive (due to the reduced number of treatments), and it won’t damage your natural skin pigment.

Who can conduct Dermapen TattOff™ treatments?

Dermapen TattOff™ treatments are only available in leading Medical Centres, Cosmetic Salons and Medi Spas, by staff who have been certified in the correct application of the proper techniques and after care protocols.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments are required is determined during your initial consultation. Generally, the average sized tattoo (12.5cm x 12.5cm) requires between 4-5 treatments. This depends on a variety of factors, including skin type, the age of the tattoo, your age, the amount of pigment, the location of the tattoo, and history of other attempts to remove the tattoo (i.e. laser).

How long will it take to remove my tattoo?

Each treatment session lasts 30 minutes to an hour. An 8 week period is necessary between treatments to allow the skin time to heal. For example, a tattoo requiring four treatments will take a minimum of 32 weeks to remove.

Does the procedure hurt?

Most clients have said that treatments are not anywhere near as painful as getting the original tattoo. Indeed, some have found it merely annoying, or experienced an occasional jab of pain. Generally, the closer to the bone, the more sensitive it will be.

How much do treatments cost?

The cost of treatment will depend on the size of the tattoo. To find out, make an appointment for a consultation today.

Dermapen TattOff™ treatments are designed to remove the pigmented areas of a tattoo in a series of visits – the number of treatments depends on the size of the design.

Tattoo pigment is inert and is not recognised by the body as a foreign substance. That’s why it is not rejected by the body and thus becomes permanent. Dermapen TattOff™ uses Dermapen TattOff Activator™ (a lactic acid proprietary fluid) to bring the tattoo pigment to the surface in the form of a scab. Once the scab falls off, there’s no more pigment and the underlying skin is clear.

The procedure is virtually painless, but if you do have a low pain tolerance, a local anaesthetic can be applied to minimise any potential discomfort.

Small circles are created over the surface of your tattoo. Space is left in between each circle and these areas will be treated in subsequent sessions. The spacing strategy helps with the healing process and minimises the chance of scarring.

Regrets? It is estimated that 50%  of tattoo wearers will want their  tattoo removed at some stage in their life.

With Dermapen Tattoff™ they finally can!
